Rachel Bailey, MSGD, MAPL Principal Designer and Director
Rachel is the principal designer and director of the studio. She is a fully registered member of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD) and a design member of the Association of Professional Landscapers (MAPL).
Trained at the Royal Botanic Gardens of Edinburgh, she has an expertise in garden design, a passion for plants and our natural environment.
With degrees in biology and diploma in Permaculture, she has a good understanding of sustainability and the environment. In her spare time, she loves spending time in her garden, growing perennial edibles, and spending time in nature whether it being paddle-boarding, hiking or just listening to the land.
Marissa Carrara, pre-reg. member SGD (Stage 1)
Marissa is a graduate designer in the studio. Coming from a background in the Film Industry as an assistant director, she re-trained at Glasgow Botanics gaining an HNC in Garden Design from SRUC. Having past stage 1 of 3, she is currently working through the accreditation pathway with the Society of Garden Designers.
Her creativity, organisation skills and can-do-attitude result in a seamless design process. With a passion for plants, her gardens are rich-in planting.
In her spare time, Marissa loves growing her own veg on her allotment and developing her container garden on her city steps in central Glasgow - so no garden is too small!
Liam Brookes
Liam joined us in 2023 as a graduate designer. He has come from a background of horticulture and landscaping having worked in Australia as a landscaper and trained first as a modern horticultural apprentice and then graduating with an HND in garden and green space design from SRUC. He is a graduate member of the Society of Garden Designers.
Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, cooking and playing football.
